Kick a kung fu shoe and compete to see how far it flies. Whether you take part or cheer from the sidelines, enjoy a community festival that brings local people and visitors together on Kitamon Street. No previous competition experience is needed.

How to join
- Choose your division and available competition time. A parent or group representative can book for several people in one payment.
- Pay ¥500 for each entry using the payment methods offered at checkout. Your booking is confirmed after payment.
- Keep your confirmation email and each participant’s check-in QR code. Save the QR to your phone or print it and show it to staff on the day.
- Each entry includes two kicks. The better distance determines your result; ties are compared using the other kick.
You can book more than one time for the same person. Each entry costs ¥500. That person is ranked once, using their best entry result.
Payment must be completed before the checkout expires (approximately 30 minutes). If you have already paid, contact us before booking again. Participant-requested cancellations and refunds are not available after payment.
Staff will guide you through adding the LINE official account (@kitamon) at check-in.
Additional same-day entries
On 3 November only, one extra entry may be offered in a full slot when both neighbouring slots have no more than two entries each. Those neighbouring slots remain limited to two entries. The first and last slots do not offer extra entries. The fee is ¥500.

Meet us on Kitamon Street.
The festival takes place on Kitamon Street, from the Osanbashi Street entrance by the North Gate (Genbu Gate) to Kagacho Police Station West intersection, where Kitamon Street meets Kaikado.
The route line indicates the approximate festival street section. Google Maps may label the endpoints with nearby addresses.

Supporting our community
Kitamonkai works with local businesses and neighbours to bring people together around Kitamon Street, Kaikado and Osanbashi Street. We welcome enquiries about sponsorship, prizes and other contributions.
Volunteer staff must be 18 or older. Help is needed from 8:00 until cleanup finishes at around 19:00. Full-day help is preferred; shorter shifts are also welcome.
